Framed Prints & Interior Design
Okay I’ll admit it I am not great at interior design. The last bits of design that make a house a home are a challenge for me. Our extension and house redesign was finished nearly 3 years ago and we still have bare walls without framed prints or pictures. We have managed to find a picture for the huge bare dining room wall and we have beautiful photos of the family in the living room but every other room is picture less and slightly without character and homeliness.
Desenio offer a huge range of Scandinavian prints and matching frames to suit any room and style you are after. I was given a voucher to choose a selection of prints for the house. I wanted to make the office a productive work environment. A few pictures were needed for the boy’s bedrooms to soften the walls and some extra frames for some of the cool artwork they have produced.
I placed the order and huge package arrived, really well packaged around 5 working days later. The frames were well packaged with bubble packaging and the art was rolled into an art tube.
The Office
Firstly, I wanted to sort out the office. This was our fourth bedroom with bare blue walls, not very inspiring! I chose 2 small modern art pictures, into the blue and abstract no 1 with copper frames. I am a huge fan of modern art, the only picture we have managed to select in our house in a huge modern art picture above the dining room table.
Dylan’s Bedroom
The second room to choose a picture for was Dylan’s room. Dylan is my eldest and likes to keep his room clean and tidy so some pictures on the walls will be the finishing touch to the room. We choose a cool map of the world with animals from each country. Fun and educational I thought! The largest print and matching frame was chosen.
Dylan has been studying the art by Kandinsky at school and has brought home an amazing picture inspired by the artist. He has shown a real interest in the art and was proud of the picture he brought home so I chose a frame for this picture. We also have a professional picture from his Cambridge United Football academy photoshoot which needed a frame and to added to his hall of fame pictures and trophies.
Hallway or Josh & Jack’s room
I choose a sea scape picture as the final picture which is going in either Josh and Jacks room or the hallway. I’ve not quite decided yet? Their room has less wall space as they have a huge bunk bed! I always admire the stormy sea pictures that I often see taken by photographer friends from Cornwall where I am from. This reminded me of those pictures.
We are really happy with our selection of prints, why not take a look through the website and see what you can find for your home. The website is simply designed with useful categories so can scroll through selection easily. If you are anything like me once you spot a picture you love that’s the one:-)
The frames and prints vary in price, the large 70 by 100cm world map picture in frame was £52.22. The small A4 size frames 21cm by 30cm were £6.99 each. And at the moment there is 25% off all prints which ends today 31st Oct! A great time to buy now.
